Crime Recon is an independent documentary channel. It is neither a police promotion channel nor an anti-police outrage channel. The interest is in what the full record establishes, shown plainly.
Where the footage comes from
Every video is built from public records: bodycam and dashcam video obtained through state public-records requests, official agency releases, 911 and dispatch audio, court filings, and published reporting. Nothing is scraped from behind logins and nothing is re-uploaded from other creators.
How reconstructions work
Multiple cameras are synchronized to the actual wall clock using burned-in timestamps, dispatch records, and audio analysis. Events play in the order they happened. When the order or cause of something is unknown, the narration says so instead of guessing.
Naming and privacy
People are named only when the public record supports it. Minors and uninvolved bystanders are not shown identifiably. Allegations are identified as allegations, and neutral legal language is used: police said, records show, was charged, was convicted.
Outcomes and corrections
Cases are updated when charging decisions, verdicts, and sentences become available in reliable records. If you believe something is wrong, say so in the comments on the video or through the channel's contact address on YouTube. Corrections are made in the description and pinned comment of the affected video.
